What Can & Can’t Be Dumped In A Roll Out Dumpster?

Whether you’re clearing out your garage or undertaking a major renovation project, a roll off dumpster is the perfect solution for easily collecting your trash and disposing of it right away. They make the disposal process for trash and materials a breeze versus making multiple trips to your local landfill over and over again. However, not everything you have to dispose of can be thrown into a Rubble Boyzz roll out dumpster. Laws are in place to prevent dangerous materials that can negatively harm the environment from being thrown away, so we strongly recommend you discuss what you plan on throwing away in one of our roll out dumpsters with a Rubble Boyzz team member beforehand. As a general guide, here are some of the most common things our customers tend to throw out into one of our dumpsters, and what isn’t allowed.

What Can’t Be Thrown Away

Just as there are plenty of things that can be thrown away in our dumpsters, there are certain items and materials that we legally cannot accept as they have special removal requirements.

Paints, Stains, Lacquers, and Oils

Paints (with the exception of latex based paint), paint thinners, wood stains, and lacquers cannot be thrown away in one of our dumpsters. Instead, we strongly recommend finding out the dates and times where your local recycling facility can accept your leftover paints. Motor oil, brake fluid, antifreeze, and other oils for your vehicle and around the house are also ever allowed to be dumped in a Rubble Boyzz dumpster

Note, latex-based paints can be thrown away in our dumpsters, so long as they’ve fully hardened.

Batteries

Car batteries and other large batteries cannot be thrown away in a dumpster, as they can leak harmful chemicals that are not only dangerous to our technicians, but to the environment as well. We strongly recommend returning your old batteries to any store that sells car batteries, as they’ll have a designated area to dispose of them.

Large Electronics

E-Waste cannot be dumped due to the potentially harmful effects their components can have on the environment. We will not accept the following:

  • Old Televisions
  • Computers
  • Cell Phones
  • Tablets
  • Printers
  • Copiers
  • DVD Players/VCR Players
